Great news coming out of the pandemic – DBA Barbecue has announced it is opening DBA Sandwich Company on November 1 in the Irwin Street Market. The new concept from owner Matt Coggin will be simple, serving delicious signature sandwiches, some soups and salads, and other special menu items, along with non-alcoholic beverages.

“While we are of course known for our barbecue and key menu items at DBA Barbecue. we have had a loyal following for our sandwiches as well, and when an opportunity arose to open a small space to serve our sandwiches, we had to jump on it,” said Coggin. “Our fans and followers have been incredible, especially through the pandemic and closures, and we are so excited to bring even more DBA goodness to guests.”

The menu features 10 sandwiches including the Turkey BLT, a Cuban, a “Pot Roast” sandwich, the Chicken Salad Melt, Pimento Cheese and more, all utilizing DBA’s in-house smoked items and other signature housemade dishes. The menu will feature other famous DBA dishes like their Mac & Cheese and Brunswick Stew. A few salads are also on the menu including the Cobb Salad and Turkey Salad, and a planned daily special taco.

The space is expected to only house three employees, providing safety first for guests and staff alike. There are some communal tables available for seated dining, however the goal of DBA Sandwich Co. rests more on a takeaway model. With more guests working from home in the area and hitting the BeltLine to stretch their legs and grab a bite, the comfort food of DBA Sandwich Co. will fit the safety and cravings of guests.
