  • Street Taco Coming to Atlanta’s Westside

Tori Allen PR is so excited to announce representing the forthcoming Street Taco restaurant coming to the Westside on Howell Mill this summer. Check out the official press release below!

The Westside will get a new place to satisfy taco cravings later this summer as Street Taco sets to open in late-summer. Street Taco will offer a variety of tacos and more using recipes passed down through families and generations.

Owner Jason Sherman decided to open Street Taco after falling in love with the food and vibe on many street corners in Mexico City.

“I wanted to bring the pride of ownership, great flavors, and comfort that I felt while eating on these magical streets in Mexico to Atlanta,” said Sherman. “Howell Mill in the bustling Berkeley Park neighborhood seemed like a natural place to do this.”

“Our goal is to create a relaxing environment that will engrain itself into the neighborhood and become a place for everyone. Like eating on a street corner in Mexico City: great flavors, terrific drinks, and warm inviting service; an open kitchen will let guests see and sense everything.”

Street Taco will be quick-serve during lunch hours with counter service so guests can get in-and-out and prices will reflect a meal at less than $10. Dinner will switch to a seated service allowing guests to relax on the patio or indoors with family and friends. Bar counter service will also be available. Breakfast and brunch are planned in the future.

The restaurant will open with a covered patio and plans to further utilize the side grass lots to host an open air setting with a goal of opening later this year. The space will offer lounge chairs, patio tables and dog-friendly dining.

Street Taco is located at 1523 Howell Mill Road, and the website while under construction is www.streettacoatl.com

One of the fastest growing fitness concepts, MADabolic Inc., is primed to open its first Georgia location here in Atlanta at the end of June. The new fitness studio will open in Old Fourth Ward in the second phase of StudioPlex located at 661 Auburn Avenue with about 3,700 square feet of studio space.

This is the first location of MADabolic to open in the state of Georgia, and is owned by franchisee Abby Closs, who recently left her Sales career at KIND Snacks to pursue her dream of owning a business that incorporates her lifelong passion for fitness. Closs and her husband recently relocated to Atlanta, and upon arrival knew they wanted to set down roots with their family, including their 1-year old daughter.

“From the minute we moved to Atlanta, I knew this is where I wanted to call home, and I always wanted to open a business so this just seems like a perfect fit especially in the quickly growing and vibrant neighborhood of Old Fourth Ward,” said Closs. “MADabolic is an amazing fitness concept, and I’m so excited to introduce it here in the city.”

MADabolic launched in 2011 in Charlotte, and is best known for its small group fitness classes that focus on “work to rest” style interval training that combines conditioning with strength, completely scalable for clients of all fitness levels. Clients won’t find any barbells at this gym, but will get stronger and more powerful with use of kettlebells, dumbbells, med-balls, boxing and more.

To set itself apart even further from similar workout styles, MADabolic highlights a full year of suggested workout schedules catered to improvement instead of “workout of the day” or rotated workouts. Each workout is focused around MADabolic’s three core parts of the interval system – Momentum, Anaerobic and Durability (MAD). Workouts can include movements like kettlebell swings, box jumps, rowing, dumbbell snatches and beyond, providing an intense 50 minute workout for everyday strength and athleticism.

New clients will learn more about MADabolic through its special $10 for 10 days promotion for all new members, allowing them to get a real feel for the workouts and the MADabolic lifestyle. From there packages begin at $179 for monthly unlimited packages $25 per drop-in class, along with other packages to be finalized soon.

MADabolic is set to open late June 2018 for full classes and plans to offer open house style events throughout the month leading to grand opening. For more information on the concept, please visit www.Madabolic.com and follow the Atlanta store’s progress on Instagram at @MAD_Atlanta.
