About This Project
Media Relations and marketing for The One Sushi +, a high-end sushi restaurant located in Brookhaven that has been open for a year. As part of my tasks, I manage its PR, social media and marketing efforts. In this short amount of time, I was able to accomplish the following so far:
Media Relations
- Restaurant feature on USA Today‘s “10 Best”
- Full-page feature in Jezebel for recent celebrity sighting
- Ranked #41 on Jezebel‘s “100 Best Restaurants” (previously not ranked)
- Named one of the “Best Things We Ate” by Atlanta Eats
- Cocktail featured on Urban Daddy
- Interview with owner featured with Atlanta Magazine
- Recent events featured on Eater Atlanta
Marketing/Events
- Implemented monthly “Sake Tasting” events
- One Sushi + offers reservation-only sake tasting dinners with a prix-fixe menu and sake pairings
- Promoted only through social media, and the event sold out within its first week
- Coordinated happy hour events with groups in their target demographic
- Hosted monthly dine-out opportunities with high-profile nonprofit organizations including the Ronald McDonald House and Boys & Girls Club
- Hosted a happy hour event with “Bama in Atlanta” young alumni group that attracted more than 50 attendees
- Launched an Ambassador Program to attract tastemakers
- Provided three local, young professionals with a $100 gift card to introduce the concept to colleagues and friends
- One ambassador has visited the restaurant no less than five times, resulting in hundreds of dollars in sales

- Increased Facebook fans by more than 15%
- Manage Twitter and post daily to increase interaction
