About This Project

Media Relations and marketing for The One Sushi +, a high-end sushi restaurant located in Brookhaven that has been open for a year. As part of my tasks, I manage its PR, social media and marketing efforts. In this short amount of time, I was able to accomplish the following so far:

Media Relations
  • Restaurant feature on USA Today‘s “10 Best”
  • Full-page feature in Jezebel for recent celebrity sighting
  • Ranked #41 on Jezebel‘s “100 Best Restaurants” (previously not ranked)
  • Named one of the “Best Things We Ate” by Atlanta Eats
  • Cocktail featured on Urban Daddy
  • Interview with owner featured with Atlanta Magazine
  • Recent events featured on Eater Atlanta

  • Implemented monthly “Sake Tasting” events
  • One Sushi + offers reservation-only sake tasting dinners with a prix-fixe menu and sake pairings
  • Promoted only through social media, and the event sold out within its first week
  • Coordinated happy hour events with groups in their target demographic
  • Hosted monthly dine-out opportunities with high-profile nonprofit organizations including the Ronald McDonald House and Boys & Girls Club
  • Hosted a happy hour event with “Bama in Atlanta” young alumni group that attracted more than 50 attendees
  • Launched an Ambassador Program to attract tastemakers
  • Provided three local, young professionals with a $100 gift card to introduce the concept to colleagues and friends
  • One ambassador has visited the restaurant no less than five times, resulting in hundreds of dollars in sales
